Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (the “POLICY” or “Privacy Policy”) applies only to information collected or obtained by LG Electronics Levant Jordan (“LGE”) through or from LGE’s website at  https://www.lge360.com/iraq_en/  by users from inside Iraq including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This policy does not apply to any other information collected or obtained by LGE (such as offline information or information from other sources) or any other LG entity or any other LG website or any LG distributor, agent or affiliate or through their websites.

BY USING THE SITE, YOU CONSENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND TO OUR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSES STATED BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

1. Introduction

The information provided by LGE on the Site is intended for informational purposes only on the various LG products that may be available in Iraq. LGE does not guarantee the availability of the products listed or shown on the SITE.

LGE does not sell or offer products for sale through the SITE. LGE will not ask, request or receive any credit card or other payment information from you through the SITE. If you are asked for, requested or are redirected to a page that requests such information, it means you have left the SITE and that any information you provide is not covered by this POLICY.

This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, and share information that we obtain from you as a result of your use of the Site.

LGE reserves the right to add or remove, at its sole discretion, service from its Site and to modify its service from time to time.

The Site may provide access to websites and links to other services owned and operated by third parties. If you access any of these links through the SITE, you are leaving the site and this POLICY no longer applies

2. What information does LGE obtain? And why?

LG does not collect personal information except those provided by you. You accept and agree that any information provided by you through the site is subject to the terms of this POLICY.

LGE may ask you to provide or may collect the following information:

  • a. Your first and last name, your date of birth, address, phone number and email;
  • b. Details of products you have purchased from LGE or are interested in purchasing such as registration details about products (including serial number, place of purchase, purchase date, etc.) and this information may be tied to your name and mailing address to provide you with customer service, after sales service, promotional services etc;
  • c. If you choose to create an account on the SITE, you will provide your password and other account identifying information;
  • d. d. We may collect information about the device you are using to access the Site which may include product code or model number, your IP address, product category or, F/W and S/W information, country code or device Id (MAC Address, UUID, etc.);
  • e. Usage Information which is information collected from the Site indicating what action has been applied to the Site such as clicking logs, pages viewed etc;
  • f. IP Address. When you use the Site, we may automatically log your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer on the internet) which is automatically recognized by the Site; and
  • g. Cookie. A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used to we may collect information about your activity on the Site through the use of cookies or web beacons. For example, when someone visits a page within the Site, a cookie is placed on the user's machine (if the user accepts cookies) or is read if the user has visited the Site previously. Cookies may also be used to track users across the Web. 3. How will LGE use the information it obtain?

We may use your information which is collected through the Site primarily for various purposes, including but not limited to:

  • • To complete a transaction or service requested by you;

4. Information Sharing

LGE may have to share your data with third parties in order to provide you with services that have been requested by you, or so that we can ensure our services and products are meeting your needs. For example, in some instances LGE may be required to transfer your data to our parent company in the Republic of Korea in order to provide you with a product or service requested by you. In addition, LGE may share your data with its affiliates and subsidiaries around the world for the purposes described in this POLICY. The term ‘affiliates’ or ‘subsidiaries’ refers to group companies who may or may not be using LG name or who have common ownership or control.

Please be aware of the following circumstances where we may share such information with the following entities:

  • - Third Party Service Provider.

    If you purchase or download an item from a site, we may share your data in order to provide the item to you. In addition, if you email us a question, we may use your email address to process your request and respond to your question. In addition, if you purchase a product via the Site, we may need to share your data with third parties in order to have that product delivered to you and installed as you requested. Also, if you are entering a competition or prize draw, we may use your data in order to fulfill the terms of that promotion.

    To unaffiliated third-part service providers, agents or independent contractors who help us maintain our Site and provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, order processing and fulfillment, providing customer service, maintaining and analyzing data, sending customer communications on LGE's behalf, and entry collection, winner selection and prize fulfillment for contests, sweepstakes and other promotions). We seek to ensure that these unaffiliated third parties will not use the data for any other purpose than to provide the administrative services for which they are responsible. Because such unaffiliated third-party service providers that help us administer our Site will have access to users' data, if you do not wish for our unaffiliated third-party service providers to have access to your information, please do not register or submit any Personally Identifiable Information to us.

  • - Other Parties When Required by Law. As required by court order or other government or law enforcement authorities in order to comply with legal process or law;
  • - Other Parties in Connection with Corporate Transactions.In connection with a corporate event, such as a merger or sale of all or part of LGE(LG Electronics Levant Jordan) business (including that of a division or subsidiary), where LGE may need to disclose information to a potential buyer and its professional advisers;
  • - Other Parties When it is Necessary to Protect Our Service.In order to protect and defend our rights and property, including by way of legal proceedings;
  • - Other Parties When it is to Protect Any of Our Users’ Personal Safety or Property. In order to protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public
  • - To strategic partners, agents, third party marketers or other unaffiliated parties who are offering products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. These parties may use your personally identifiable information to contact you with an offer or advertisement related to a product or service.In this case, we may ask your additional consent.

5. Collection and Use of Information from Children under the Age of 14

Protecting the privacy of children is important to us. LGE does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from anyone under the age of 14 or knowingly allow such persons to use the Site. If you are under 14, please do not attempt to register on the Site with any personal information. If you are at least 14 but under the age of 18, you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use or access the Site. If LGE learns that a child under 14 has provided us with any personal information, LGE will promptly delete such personal information.

6. Overseas Transfers

We, our affiliates, subsidiaries, and suppliers may use information (including your personal information) in countries other than where you are located in connection with providing you with our service and any other purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. The data protection laws in many of these countries may not offer the same level of protection as those in the country where you are located. However, before transferring your personal information we will take steps to ensure that such information will be afforded the same level of protection. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you expressly consent to us and our business associates and suppliers processing your data in any jurisdiction, including, without limitation, Republic of Korea and the United States in accordance with this Privacy Policy

7. How long will LGE keep my personal Information

We will take reasonable steps to make sure that we keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for us to provide you with using the Sites or other purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

8. Cookies and other tracking technologies

When you access the Sites, we and our third party partners may use cookies – small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters – and other tracking technologies. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Sites. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept cookies, you may not be able to utilize certain features of the Sites to their full potential.

When you accessthe Sites, third parties may collect personal information about your online activities; these third parties may also collect personal information about your online activities across different websites over time. We are not responsible for this third party data collection.

9. Opt Out

From time to time, we communicate with users who subscribe to our services via email or text message. For example, we may use your email address to confirm your request, to send you notice of payments, to send you information about changes to our products and services, and to send notices and other disclosures as required by law. Although you may opt out of marketing messages, please note that it is in your interest to ensure that we are able to deliver certain non-marketing-related messages, such as notices of payments, and that we may be required to deliver certain notices to you by law. In addition we may deliver certain marketing-related messages, and in this case, we ask your additional consent.

However, we provide you the opportunity to exercise an opt-out choice if you do not want to receive other types of communication from us, such as emails or updates from us regarding new services and products offered on the Sites or if you do not want us to share your information with third parties. The opt-out choice may be exercised by ticking or un-ticking the appropriate box provided at the points where information is collected, or by contacting us using the contact details provided at https://www.lg.com/levant_en/support/message-customer-support.  We will process your unsubscription as soon as possible, but please be aware that in some circumstances you may receive a few more messages until the unsubscription is processed. You also may opt-out of receiving such emails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link within the text of the email.

10. Third Party Website

This Policy applies solely to information collected on the Site. The Site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites.

11. Assignment

In the event that all or part of our assets are sold or acquired by another party, or in the event of a merger, you grant us the right to assign the information collected via the Site.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This POLICY may be updated by LGE from time to time, at its sole discretion, without notice, although we will inform you of any material changes through an update to the Site, and you will be asked to accept the update. If you do not consent to any updates to this POLICY, some of the service may be restricted.

13. Security

We use commercially reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information. Nevertheless, due to the design of the internet, ever-changing technology, and other factors outside of our control, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and the Site will be free from unauthorized access by third parties or that LGE will not be subject to security breaches. We do not accept any responsibility for the disclosure of personal information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized or unlawful acts of third parties or your decision to disclose your personal information. You must also take appropriate steps to keep your password confidential and change it regularly.

14. Waiver and Consent

You hereby consent to the use by LGE of any information provided by you or obtained by LGE from your use of the Site for the purposes stated herein or any other lawful purpose.

By using the Site you waive any claim you may now or in the future have against LGE or its parent, subsidiaries or affiliates in connection with the collection, use and sharing of any information obtained by your use of the Site.

LGE shall not be liable in any way for in connection with any information shared by you on any publicly available and accessible portion of the Site or any information shared by you on any other site that is accessible through a link on the Site.

15. Governing Law/Venue/Forum

This Agreement shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq and by the laws of the Kurdistan Region for users accessing the site from the Kurdistan Region. Any dispute arising out or in connection with this agreement, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts of Iraq.

17. SMS Users

For customers who agreed to SMS messaging from us, you will receive a minimum of four SMS messages. Although all LGE alerts and promotions are complimentary, Message & Data rates may apply. Depending on your text plan, you may be charged by your carrier. By enrolling in the service, you certify that you are over 18 years of age and (a) you are the account holder or (b) you have the account holder's permission to do so. Content is not available on all carriers: The Service is available AT&T, Sprint, Boost, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular®, T-Mobile® & MetroPCS. SMS Messaging is not compatible with all cell phone models. As mobile access and text message delivery is subject to your mobile carrier network availability, such access and delivery is not guaranteed. LGE is not responsible for any delays upon sending or receiving text messages. You may opt out of text delivery at any time by texting STOP.
